Legacie identifies and develops industrial water infrastructure projects. We focus on shared infrastructure solutions to unlock value in the resources and industry sectors.
We identify and cultivate opportunities to meet long-term water demands through integrated, strategically important, investible projects developed as ‘common user’ infrastructure, where possible.
We co-invest with clients in the development of our water projects.
We will only develop projects where we have the consent of First Nations stakeholders. We engage often and early to ensure our projects avoid or minimise impacts to Country.
We believe that First Nations peoples should actively participate in the opportunities created by our projects on their Country. We offer real equity and partnership for generational wealth creation for First Nation peoples, from economic activity on their land.
We are connected across industry to match water demands to sustainable supplies, leading practice operators, funding partners and renewable energy providers to ensure truly sustainable solutions.
Our name reflects our mission. Originating from fourteenth-century Latin, Legacie is a group of people on a mission, united by a clear, highly focused sense of direction.
It reflects our commitment to long-term, essential infrastructure development across Australia. And it represents our intent to conduct business ethically to ensure that all stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, are justly and equitably recognised in complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations.
Access to secure, fit-for-purpose water supply is essential to sustain economic development and enable decarbonisation of Australia’s mining and industry sectors.
Our expertise includes the identification of water infrastructure investment opportunities, provision of development risk capital, complex and highly ethical land access and environmental approvals management, counter-party negotiations and study management, engagement and partnership with Traditional Owners, development of world class technical water solutions, strategic partnerships with world class operators, right through to investment-grade documentation for long-term capital deployment.
A large-scale desalination plant on a project-ready land assembly.
Early project scoping studies by Legacie have identified a preferred location for the seawater desalination plant in the Pilbara Region.
Legacie is working with the Traditional Owners of the Country to progress tenure, Native Title, heritage, community engagements and industry liaison.
Environmental studies are underway to enable an Environmental Scoping meeting to be held with the WA Environmental Protection Agency in Q2 of 2024.
The desalination plant is located within existing State and Commonwealth approved footprints for previously proposed projects, which enables existing monitoring information, studies and environmental impact assessments to be used to achieve a significantly expedited approvals timeframe.
Legacie is focused on unlocking long-term economic growth through developing sustainable water infrastructure to supply decarbonising industry sectors.
